Terms & Conditions

1. Services

Chronos provides a platform for digital quizzes via Chronos Passes (such as the “Game Night Pass” for 24h or the “Holiday Pass” for 7 days). A Pass is only required for the Host (the person organizing the quiz); joining as a player is always free.

2. Payments & Chronos Passes

Payments are handled via Stripe. A Pass is activated immediately upon a successful transaction.

3. Right of Withdrawal (Digital Content)

By purchasing a Chronos Pass, you agree that the delivery of the digital service begins immediately. Consequently, you waive your right of withdrawal (refund) once the Pass has been activated or used, in accordance with European legislation for digital goods.

4. Intellectual Property & User Content

  • Public Library: By publishing a quiz in the Chronos Library, you grant Focal Creative a non-exclusive license to host and make this content available to other users. You declare that you possess the necessary rights for the media used.
  • Private Mode: When using personal media in local .chronos files, you are solely responsible for the copyright status of these files. Focal Creative has no access to this data and bears no liability for it.

5. Intellectual Property & Takedown Policy

Chronos operates as an interactive intermediary platform. You may compile quizzes using search integrations, including third-party APIs such as TMDb and Pexels.

  1. User Direction: By assembling a quiz, you direct Chronos’s automated systems to retrieve, resize, and display media assets exclusively in the context of gameplay.
  2. Notice and Takedown: If you are a copyright owner or an authorised agent and believe that media hosted on Chronos infringes your copyrights, submit a formal notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or the European Union Digital Services Act (DSA) to chronos@focalcreative.be. Include the specific URL and identifier of the contested material.
  3. Expeditious Removal: After receiving a valid and complete notification, Chronos will expeditiously remove or disable access to the specified asset from its storage systems.

6. Liability & Data Loss

Focal Creative reserves the right to remove or modify quizzes from the Public Library without prior notice (e.g., due to copyright infringement or inappropriate content).

Focal Creative is not liable for indirect damages or technical failures caused by third parties (such as network providers). Furthermore, Focal Creative is never liable for the loss of data or designs, regardless of whether they are stored locally or in the cloud.
